About Middlesbrough Athletic Club (Mandale)
Middlesbrough Mandale Athletics Club was founded in 1975 and is based at Middlesbrough Sports Village in Teesside, England. Track-and-field development is central to its programme, with sprinting, endurance running, jumps and throws offered in a supportive club setting.
Younger athletes follow a multi-event pathway so they can discover their strengths before specialising. More experienced members develop their chosen events with the coaching team and take part in local and regional competition. The club welcomes athletes from eight years old and asks prospective members to make contact before a taster session is arranged.
Its history includes former athletes Richard Kilty and Chris Tomlinson, who went on to Olympic competition. The club also records Charlie Myers becoming British pole-vault champion in 2018 while representing Mandale, and Charlotte Kelsey's selection for the 2023 European Under-23 Championships. These dated associations do not establish anyone's present membership.
