About Medway Tri
MedwayTri grew from athletes training together around the Medway towns in Kent, England. After the 2012 world championships, Dean Ratcliffe created the Training Buddies email group to coordinate sessions. A committee formed in May 2013, and the club officially launched at Medway Park on 29 September with junior and senior aquathlons.
The club supports recreational and competitive triathlon through swimming, cycling and running. Track sessions use Medway Park, while winter cross-country training uses Capstone Park. Junior activity also includes swimming at local leisure centres and cycling at Gravesend Cyclopark, with sessions organised around development needs.
Junior enrolment begins in the year a child turns eight. Families should contact the membership officer to discuss a suitable first session rather than simply arrive. The website provides guest registration, membership choices and session booking; facility access and parking charges can be separate. Check the current booking information because different pages display different session prices.
