About Maidenhead AC
Maidenhead Athletic Club is based at Braywick Park in Maidenhead, Berkshire, England. Its history describes local cycling-and-athletics activity in the late nineteenth century, including a joint sports meeting in 1884 and later club-name changes. An earlier 1869 proposal is explicitly uncertain, so it is not treated as the present club's founding date.
The modern club has senior and junior sections, a six-lane cinder track and a purpose-built clubhouse opened in 2009. Senior activity includes track work, road runs and cross-country, while junior coaching covers running, jumping and throwing. The Maidenhead Easter 10 and an active social calendar complement regular training.
Adults can join online or enquire about visiting a session. Junior coaching places are limited and use a waiting list; parents of children over thirteen are asked to contact junior administration before registering interest. Cross-country-only junior participation has a separate route and does not require joining the coaching waiting list. Volunteers and parent helpers are important to the club's programme.
