About Lowestoft Road Runners
Lowestoft Road Runners was formed in 1996 in Lowestoft, Suffolk, England. Its history reaches back to Lowestoft AC, but the present club was created to retain that club's colours when the earlier organisation combined with Beccles Running Club to form Waveney Valley AC. These are related histories, not interchangeable club identities.
The programme includes a Monday social 5K, Tuesday hill and speed work and a changing Thursday session. Members represent the club in local races, relays and Suffolk championships as well as running for fitness and company. Training locations include Water Lane Leisure Centre, Clarkson Road in Oulton Broad and Claremont Pier.
Membership is for adults aged eighteen and over who can already run 5K. The beginner welcome therefore does not imply a complete walk-to-run course. Prospective members can email the club or use its contact form, then complete the online membership application. Check the calendar or Facebook notices for the exact session and start point before travelling.
