About Lincoln & District Runners
Lincoln and District Runners is a running club in Lincoln, England, with Tuesday and Thursday sessions throughout the year. Its programme mixes structured training with social runs on local roads and trails. Groups regroup along the way, with a stated entry guide of being able to run five miles within an hour.
Most Tuesdays start at North Kesteven Leisure Centre in North Hykeham, but the last Tuesday of the month moves to the LSST athletics track. Thursday starts change with the seasons: winter runs stay around the city, while lighter evenings take members into surrounding villages. The published schedule is therefore more useful than a single fixed meeting address.
Prospective members can try one Tuesday and one Thursday free before joining. The club asks newcomers to send a Facebook message first so someone can welcome them and suggest a group. Membership also includes opportunities in local cross-country leagues, and post-run pub visits form part of the social side.
