About Langport Runners
Langport Runners formed in summer 1998 in Langport, Somerset, England. Road and off-road running are both part of the club, which describes itself as a social group for people who enjoy running as well as those who want to compete.
Wednesday is the main club night at Langport Sports and Social Club. Longer and shorter routes allow members to choose a suitable outing, with time to meet afterwards. A monthly out-and-back session asks runners to turn after the same elapsed time, making it possible for different paces to finish together.
The first Wednesday of each month uses a different location, so visitors should confirm the meeting point rather than rely on the usual base. The advertised club-night session is free, but regular attendees are expected to become members. Club championships, race reports and the Portcullis Trail 10K pages provide further ways to follow the club's activity.
