About Kingstone Runners Barnsley
Kingstone Runners began in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, England, in 1996 as One2One Running Club. Affiliation followed in January 1997. The club later used the LivingWell Barnsley name before becoming Kingstone Runners after a move to Kingstone Sports Centre in October 2007.
Further moves took the club to Honeywell in 2012 and then to Higham Cricket Club in August 2020. The Higham base on Pog Well Lane is the current published meeting location. These changes explain why older references to Kingstone or Honeywell should not be mistaken for present training instructions.
The club brings together local runners with differing levels of experience and provides beginner information alongside its wider running activity. Prospective members can use the public club email to discuss joining and confirm a suitable first session. Its long local history is one of a continuing running community adapting to new venues, rather than separate clubs being created at each move.
