About Killarney Triathlon Club
Killarney Triathlon Club brings swimmers, cyclists and runners together in Killarney, County Kerry, Ireland. It first affiliated to Triathlon Ireland in 2015; that affiliation date is distinct from an established founding year. Members can train socially or prepare for competition, and racing is not a requirement of belonging to the club.
The published programme describes winter pool swimming at the Gleneagle’s Aquila Club, indoor cycling at St Mary’s Hall and running around Ross Racecourse. Summer activities include swimming at Dundag Beach in Muckross and combined swim-bike-run practice. Local parkrun outings and coffee provide another way to meet other members.
Newcomers can enquire about three trial sessions before joining. Beginner swim training expects the ability to swim two lengths of front crawl; people still learning that skill are directed towards lessons first. Club membership and Triathlon Ireland membership are separate requirements. Contact the club for the current seasonal timetable, session suitability and trial arrangements.
