About Ivanhoe Robins Junior Athletics Club
Ivanhoe Robins Junior Athletics Club is based at Ivanhoe School in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire, England. Volunteers and qualified athletics coaches run sessions for children from age seven, with enjoyment and the development of movement skills central to the programme.
Younger athletes learn running, jumping and throwing through activities such as QuadKids, cross-country and indoor athletics. Older junior groups develop event technique for Sportshall and track and field. Competition is available, but children can also take part simply because they enjoy training.
Saturday sessions use the school sports hall and, when conditions permit, the playing fields. Parents should email the waiting-list contact before attending. The club asks for an annually updated membership form and separates annual membership from regular training charges.
