About Huncote Harriers
Huncote Harriers Athletic Club began in 1982 when local runners joined together to prepare for the London Marathon. Affiliation followed in 1983. Based around Huncote and Enderby in Leicestershire, England, the club now brings together runners with varied experience, supported by qualified coaches and run leaders.
Road racing and cross-country are important parts of club life. Members compete in Leicestershire and North Midlands leagues, team relays and internal challenges, while also joining local parkruns. Training sometimes reaches beyond the two main villages, with outings to places such as Bradgate Park and track sessions at Ratcliffe College.
New runners may try the club for a couple of weeks before joining. Its published training information includes ability-based groups and an advanced-beginner run/walk option, but the retrieved timetable covers summer 2026 rather than the current winter season. Check the latest arrangements before attending, and read the club's training risk assessment and health commitment guidance before submitting a membership application.
