About Hatch Warren Runners
Hatch Warren Runners grew from a Facebook group and held its first club run on 6 March 2013. Its history describes ten people turning up for that first outing, some running or walking three miles and others covering six. The small group developed into a wider running community in Hatch Warren and Beggarwood, Basingstoke, Hampshire, England.
Monday and Wednesday evening runs offer different distances and paces. Most start from either the Portsmouth Arms or the Co-op in Beggarwood, with other arrangements announced through the members' Facebook page. The club's emphasis is on personal progress and mutual encouragement, so the choice of group matters more than matching a single expected pace.
The website provides a downloadable membership application, club rules and an enquiry form. Newcomers should check which start point and route apply to their intended evening before attending; the Portsmouth Arms is one regular meeting place, not the start for every run.
