About Harvel Hash House Harriers
Harvel Hash House Harriers is a local running and hashing club in Harvel, Kent, England. The North Downs setting lends itself to off-road outings, while members also take part in road running across a range of distances. Its connection with the wider hashing tradition does not make it a global club: its regular community is rooted in Harvel village.
Tuesday training starts from Harvel Cricket Club and normally offers a walk or slow jog, an easy-paced run and a longer, quicker option. Distances vary from roughly one to three miles for the shortest group to six or seven for the longer one. The monthly Sunday hash is a separate, sociable outing, typically four to six miles with frequent stops and changing locations.
Newcomers should email before attending so the club can discuss their running experience and confirm the appropriate group and start point. The website also carries the club's Harvel 5 event information. Hashing's international history is described on a separate page, but it does not establish when this particular Harvel club was founded.
