About Hartlepool Athletics Club
Hartlepool Athletics Club was formed in 2014 in Hartlepool, County Durham, England. Its own history describes a short merger with Burn Road Harriers before returning to independent operation. The two clubs should therefore be treated as separate organisations when choosing where to enquire or train.
Children’s athletics is an important part of its programme, with running, jumping and throwing introduced through age-appropriate groups. More specialised coaching allows athletes to develop particular events, while the club also advertises an adult group training twice a week. Families should check the current school-year group and available places rather than assuming a child can join any session.
The club’s community work includes a Sports Leaders programme and charity activities, giving young people experience beyond their own competition. Its public contact email and telephone provide a direct route to ask about joining, training and availability. Prospective members should confirm the correct venue before attending; the directory’s former street address is not presented here as a verified training facility.
