About Harrogate Tri Club
Harrogate Triathlon Club was formed in 2012 following the London Olympic and Paralympic Games. Based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England, it brings together adults and juniors interested in swimming, cycling and running, from newcomers to members preparing for multisport competition.
Training is spread across several local venues. Pool sessions use Harrogate Ladies’ College and Ashville, running includes the Army Foundation College track, and strength and conditioning has used The Fitness Garage and the Stray in summer. Social cycling adds an uncoached group option alongside the structured training programme.
Seasonal open-water swimming takes place at Calm Water Bay near Knaresborough. The club requires an initial competence assessment and specifies equipment for these sessions, so prospective swimmers should read the arrangements before attending.
