About Hardley Runners
Hardley Runners is a running club for the Waterside area around Hythe and Dibden Purlieu in Hampshire, England. The nearby New Forest shapes much of its off-road training, while road racing and local cross-country leagues give members opportunities to compete throughout the year. The club also organises the Solent Half Marathon.
Coached training takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Meeting places change with the season: winter sessions use Applemore Health and Leisure, while summer options include Dibden Inclosure and the track at Lift New Forest school in Holbury. Forest paths, hills and track work provide different settings for developing endurance and speed.
Membership is available from age fifteen. Regular sessions generally suit people able to run 5K without stopping, while the club’s ten-week Couch to 5K course offers a separate starting point. Prospective runners should use the club enquiry email and check the training page for the appropriate session and venue. Younger athletes are directed to New Forest Juniors Athletic Club.
