About Hambleton Athletics & Running Club Ltd
Hambleton Athletics and Running Club is based around Bedale and Northallerton in North Yorkshire, England. Known as HARC, it combines an established endurance-running community with sprints, jumps and throws for juniors and adults.
Tuesday intervals, Thursday social runs and Sunday outings alternate between local meeting points, usually the Dales Centre in Bedale and Northallerton Leisure Centre. Monthly track nights use Catterick Athletics Stadium. Summer athletics also uses Northallerton Sports Village and, on some occasions, Bedale school fields or other regional tracks. Members compete in the North Yorkshire and South Durham summer track-and-field and winter cross-country leagues.
Regular running sessions expect participants to be able to run five kilometres continuously, at any pace. Couch to 5K programmes offer a separate starting point. Membership options distinguish running from the wider athletics programme, and junior places are limited by coaching capacity. Families register through the club website, with junior induction forming part of joining. The coaching and membership teams can explain availability and suitable sessions.
