About Halstead RRC
Halstead Road Runners was formed in 1985 in Halstead, Essex, England, and marked its fortieth anniversary in 2025. Based at Courtauld Sports Ground on Colchester Road, it brings together runners training for races and people who simply enjoy keeping active with a group. The club also organises the Halstead and Essex Marathon.
Wednesday is the main club night, with a structured programme that includes intervals, hills and other sessions. Steadier Monday and Friday runs and informal Sunday outings provide further options. Summer brings a handicap series with routes starting and finishing at local pubs, while winter racing includes the NESS and Essex cross-country leagues.
