About Great Yarmouth & District AC
Great Yarmouth & District Athletic Club has offered athletics in the town since 1973. Its base is Wellesley Recreation Ground, where qualified coaches work across running, sprinting, jumping and throwing. Junior entry requires athletes to be at least eight and in school Year 4, with no upper age limit for older members.
Track and field teams compete in the East Anglian League, while the road-running section organises the Humpty Dumpty 10K and Freethorpe Ten. Visitors can discuss the available event groups and try a session before joining. The club’s training page sets out the current schedule, including additional sessions beyond the main weekly club evening.
