About Grantham AC
Grantham Athletic Club was founded in 1974 in Grantham, Lincolnshire, England. It used several venues before moving to the purpose-built South Kesteven Sports Stadium on Trent Road in 1992, with its eight-lane floodlit track and field-event facilities.
The club supports track and field, road running and cross-country. Younger children, from age eight through school Year 6, have sportshall sessions at the Meres Leisure Centre, while older juniors train at the track. The stadium also provides a setting for school and county athletics competition.
New athletes can arrange two paid taster sessions, with a consent form required before attending. Families should check the current training information and club Facebook notices, since the right session depends on age and group. General enquiries are handled through the club’s published email. Grantham Athletic Club is a separate organisation from Grantham Running Club, so visitors should make sure they are following the membership and training arrangements for the club they intend to join.
