About Gade Valley Harriers
Gade Valley Harriers was established in March 1991 in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, England. Based around Boxmoor, the club supports runners from their first five kilometres through to longer-distance training and team competition.
Tuesday and Thursday meetings use Boxmoor Cricket Club on St Johns Road. A ten-week Learn to Run programme offers a beginner route into the club, while experienced members help support newer runners during regular sessions. The racing calendar includes the Chiltern Cross Country League and Hertfordshire midweek 10K events.
The club is also known for volunteer-run Marathon Training Runs in February and March, with charitable support forming part of its event work. In 2025 it helped bring back the Bovingdon 10K alongside the local football club. Social runs, themed outings and visits to the Steamcoach pub opposite the clubhouse give members ways to meet beyond formal training.
