About Fleckney & Kibworth Athletics Club
Fleckney & Kibworth Running Club grew from informal runs between local residents in spring 2006. The club was established in January 2007 and joined England Athletics that May, giving runners around the two Leicestershire villages a shared training and racing organisation.
Tuesday and Thursday club runs alternate between Fleckney, Kibworth and other nearby villages. The adult-only club combines a social programme with opportunities to work towards individual goals. Its website also provides a Couch to 5K sign-up route for people beginning their running journey.
Members compete in the Leicestershire Road Running League and Derby Runner Cross Country League. The club identifies the Kibworth Six and Leicester Marathon and Half Marathon among the local events it supports. Prospective members can use the published enquiry contact or Facebook group to find the next suitable session; there is no single training address that applies to every club night.
