About Faversham Running Club
Faversham Running Club was founded in May 2015 to serve Faversham and its surrounding villages in Kent, England. Its activities focus on helping people run together, whether they are starting with Couch to 5K or working towards a longer race.
The club's Wednesday programme starts from Abbey Sports Centre. Run leaders organise smaller groups so members can choose a suitable session, and the website also provides interval-training information and plans for distances from five kilometres to the marathon. Member stories and social events are part of its community life alongside the running.
The club is affiliated to England Athletics and offers membership through its website. Its pages distinguish free running participation from paid affiliated membership, although the wording differs between the overview and joining pages. Newcomers should ask the club secretary which option fits their plans, and confirm the appropriate group and meeting time before attending.
