About Farnham Runners
Farnham Runners has been part of running in Farnham, Surrey, England, since 1985. The club explores Bourne Woods and the commons around Frensham, Tilford, Hankley and Crooksbury, alongside road running and track work in Aldershot. Its clubhouse is at Bourne Sports and Social Club in Lower Bourne, where training days include access to changing rooms and showers. Members compete in the Hampshire Road Race League and Southern Cross Country League, with an internal Grand Prix encouraging participation across the ability range.
The Get Me Started course introduces newcomers to running over nine weeks, working towards 5K while helping them get to know the club. Regular training includes coached speed sessions, intervals and club runs; each has its own venue, so the clubhouse is not the start point for everything. A summer championship in Bourne Woods, a Christmas handicap, club suppers and race weekends give members reasons to meet beyond weekly training. General and membership enquiries go through the club's shared email.
