About Far Runners Faringdon
Far Runners Faringdon began in 2012 when local runners started organising free community runs in Faringdon, Oxfordshire, England. Its programme combines sociable outings with sessions that help runners build strength, speed and confidence.
Tuesday runs offer shorter and longer routes, while Thursday sessions vary between hills, sprints and other drills. Sunday groups explore the surrounding countryside, including paths around Badbury Clump and nearby villages. Occasional away runs introduce different routes elsewhere in Oxfordshire, and social events give members further opportunities to meet.
New runners register with the group on RunTogether and book a session before attending. Regular sessions generally require five kilometres in under 45 minutes; the club directs complete beginners to its Couch to 5K programme. Meeting points vary between Market Square, the area behind the library in summer and Faringdon Leisure Centre on Sundays, so the booking details should guide each visit.
