About Eynsham Road Runners
Eynsham Road Runners was formed in 1986 in Eynsham, Oxfordshire, England. Its Wednesday club night starts at the village pavilion, with routes into the surrounding countryside in summer and village roads in winter, followed by tea, cake and conversation.
Tuesday sessions focus on speed and hills. Members can race in the Oxfordshire Cross Country League and local road series, take part in the club championship or join the annual challenge against Witney Roadrunners. The club organises the Eynsham 10K, and its social programme extends to cycling and Pilates for runners.
Newcomers are asked to email before trying a few sessions. Being able to jog continuously for 30 minutes helps with regular runs; the You Can Run course offers a starting point for beginners. Family membership is available, but there is no separate youth training structure: parents must accompany children on club nights. A walking group also welcomes members who are resting, recovering or have retired from running.
