About Eye Community Runners
Eye Community Runners has been part of the running community around Eye and Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, England, since 1986. The club combines adult and junior training with a calendar of races organised by its own volunteers.
Its events include the Eye 5K, five-mile race and 10K. Members also take part in the Frostbite Friendly and Royston cross-country series during winter and the Cambridgeshire road-racing programme in summer. Recent club notices describe support for Ferry Meadows parkrun and the Great Eastern Run, extending that involvement beyond club races.
Adult sessions, for runners aged 16 and over, meet on Tuesday at Nene Valley Community Centre and Thursday at Lindisfarne Road Recreation Ground in Eye. The junior group, for ages 15 and under, meets earlier on Thursdays at the recreation ground. Joining information and the membership form are available on the club website; families should check the junior arrangements before their first visit.
