About Exeter Harriers
Exeter Harriers has been part of athletics in Devon since 1904. Its home is the Exeter Arena site, where the club has its own pavilion and hires the all-weather track for training and meetings. Athletes can join from age eight, with coaching for beginners as well as those progressing to regional, national and international competition.
The programme extends beyond the summer track season: teams compete in the Westward Cross Country League, and younger athletes take part in Devon sportshall competition. The club also organises evening open meetings and the Ken Trickey Memorial meeting. Newcomers can arrange temporary membership, with the welcome-desk volunteers helping them find a training group; parents must stay on site while a junior is taking part in the trial period. Visiting members of other clubs can ask about guest membership.
