About Epsom & Ewell Harriers
Epsom & Ewell Harriers grew from a local sports group and adopted the Epsom Harriers name in 1890. The club has used the Poole Road track in Ewell since the 1950s; today the Harrier Centre is its base in Surrey, England.
A six-lane track and facilities for jumps and throws support a broad athletics programme. Junior and senior athletes compete in track-and-field leagues, while road and cross-country teams provide further opportunities. The club also contributes volunteers to Nonsuch parkrun. Its history records masters sprinters Lisa Boland and Anne Nelson winning medals at the 2023 World Masters Indoor Championships.
Training groups cover different ages and event specialisms, with places dependent on coaching capacity. Some junior groups have waiting lists. The membership enquiry form is the recommended route for arranging a trial or discussing a child's interests. This is a competitive club: athletes joining its training groups are expected to support team competitions.
