About Eastern Masters AC
Eastern Masters AC serves older athletes across East Anglia, England. Founded in 1978 as Eastern Veterans Athletics Club, it later adopted the Masters name. Its regional role brings together athletes who may already train and compete with a local club.
EMAC organises championship opportunities on the road and cross-country, alongside track-and-field leagues and race walking. Its British Masters Athletics Federation affiliation connects members with national masters competition and the routes into international events. Selection requirements still apply to representative teams.
The club offers first-claim and second-claim membership, so joining need not mean leaving an existing club. Applications are handled through the BMAF OpenTrack system; athletes compete as masters from age 35. The membership secretary can explain the correct category and registration requirements. EMAC's regional competition programme should be checked separately from any local training timetable.
