About Dragons Running Club (Sale)
Dragons Running Club (Sale) is a volunteer-run club based at Trafford MV in Sale, Greater Manchester, England. Affiliated to England Athletics since 2007, it offers road and trail running alongside track training and cross-country competition.
Tuesday runs cover around 5K, with longer Thursday outings and a monthly shorter option. Wednesday track sessions take place at Timperley Athletics Track. Runs are booked through Spond, which gives the starting point; although Trafford MV is the club base, sessions often begin elsewhere. Leaders arrange a runner at the back of the group to help everyone stay together.
Membership is for adults aged eighteen and over. Newcomers can try the road and trail runs for a month before joining, while track sessions have a separate charge. The club also has trained guide runners and invites visually impaired runners to discuss their needs. Club championships, the Manchester Area Cross Country League and social events provide further opportunities to participate.
