About Dragons Running Club (Leeds)
Dragons Running Club (Leeds) began as Manor Running Club in Yeadon, West Yorkshire, England, in 1997. It adopted the Dragons name two years later after a change of ownership at its original leisure-club base. Around 2012 it moved to Yeadon Cricket Club, opening membership more widely beyond the gym community.
The programme includes local road and off-road routes, with groups organised by ability and distance. Leaders use a loopback system so runners can move at different paces and regroup. Racing is optional: some members enter events from 5K upwards, while others chiefly enjoy social running, walking and club gatherings.
The club welcomes runners aged sixteen and over. Prospective members can email for an application form and ask about an appropriate first session. Membership includes athletics affiliation and membership of the cricket-club venue. Social evenings, race trips and seasonal events maintain the club’s community beyond its regular runs.
