About Dorset Sole Sisters
Dorset Sole Sisters is a women’s running club serving Dorchester and Weymouth in Dorset, England. Its focus is sociable running, offering company and encouragement without requiring members to race or pursue a particular performance target.
The regular programme meets in Dorchester on Mondays and Weymouth on Wednesdays. Summer outings sometimes leave the towns to explore local countryside, with members able to suggest and host routes supported by club leaders. Meeting places are shared with members, so prospective runners should email for the location of a first visit.
The club advises that someone able to jog slowly for around thirty minutes should be comfortable joining a run, with a leader at the back of the group. Complete beginners can ask about Couch to 5K courses or preparation for the regular sessions. Members also enter events together and have volunteered at Weymouth’s Ironman 70.3, making support for other runners and athletes part of club life.
