About Didsbury Runners
Didsbury Runners began in 2016 when two runners, unable to join an oversubscribed local club, decided to start their own in South Manchester, England. Volunteers now organise its runs, trips, coaching activities and committee work.
Monday club runs leave from Didsbury Sports Ground on Ford Lane in pace groups. Wednesday sessions offer track intervals or hills, and the wider programme includes Peak District trails, winter cross-country, races and social trips. Prospective members can register for a free Monday trial; the club asks participants in that session to be able to run 5K.
Two free programmes extend its work beyond paid membership. Couch to 5K supports complete beginners, while Didsbury Runners Active offers walking, running and games for people aged sixteen and over with learning disabilities or autism, with parents and carers welcome. Membership and optional England Athletics registration are explained separately on the joining page, and the contact form handles questions about suitable sessions.
