About Devizes Running Club
Devizes Running Club is a volunteer-run club in Devizes, Wiltshire, England, with interests in road, trail and cross-country running. Many members run mainly for recreation, while others use the shared training and encouragement to prepare for races from 5K to the marathon.
Tuesday social runs leave from Devizes Town Football Club on Nursteed Road, with routes and groups covering different distances. Thursday sessions concentrate on intervals and use varying locations. Members also arrange longer weekend outings when preparing for events. The club recommends being comfortable running for around thirty minutes for its regular runs, while beginners and returning runners can ask about the Tuesday run/walk option.
Prospective members can attend introductory sessions before joining. The website provides an application form and a membership email for questions; current fees and session details should be confirmed directly. Social evenings and volunteer committee roles offer ways to take part beyond the weekly runs.
