About Daventry AAC
Daventry Amateur Athletic Club was established in 1965 at Ashby Road School in Daventry, Northamptonshire, England. It moved to the Stefen Hill track in 1980 and remains a volunteer-run, self-financing club within the town’s sporting community.
The training programme covers sprinting, middle-distance running, jumps and throws. Stefen Hill Sports Ground on Western Avenue is the main outdoor base, with seasonal indoor provision for younger athletes. Sessions are organised by school year and experience, so families should confirm which group and venue apply before attending.
The club encourages young athletes to try competition as well as train. Its published programme includes summer track-and-field leagues and winter cross-country, with parents encouraged to support away fixtures. Membership and training charges are explained separately on the website. The secretary can be reached by telephone or through the enquiry form for current joining arrangements, session availability and volunteering.
