About Darwen Dashers RC
Darwen Dashers Running Club was founded in 1990 in Darwen, Lancashire, England. Affiliated to England Athletics, it brings together runners interested in roads, trails and fells, with opportunities to train socially or compete in club and local races.
Tuesday and Thursday evening groups meet at the Sunnyhurst pub. The programme offers shorter runs of around three to five miles as well as longer outings of six miles or more. Different groups allow members to choose a distance and effort suited to their running, with volunteer leaders helping organise the sessions.
Road, fell and parkrun championships give members goals across the year, alongside the club’s social activities. Joining starts with an online application for the committee to process, followed by the membership payment arrangements. The club secretary’s public email is available for questions about membership and which group to try; check the latest session information before arriving.
