About Dartmouth AAC
Dartmouth Amateur Athletic Club was formed in 1979 in Dartmouth, Devon, England. Christine Jordan, a sports teacher at Dartmouth Community College, initiated the club, and a committee was established at its first meeting to take the idea forward.
The club meets weekly and supports athletes from the age of eight. Its published introduction describes opportunities to compete at junior, senior and veteran level, while also welcoming people who want to improve fitness, learn skills or meet others through athletics. Members have represented Dartmouth at events beyond the local area.
