About Dacorum Athletics Club
Dacorum Athletics Club is based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, England. Its present organisation came from the 1995 merger of Dacorum Athletic Club and Tring Athletic Club, founded separately in 1976 and 1980. The combined club used the Dacorum & Tring name until returning to Dacorum AC in 2021. Track and field is a substantial part of its programme, with young athletes moving from introductory groups into development and event-specific squads.
Road runners train on the roads and paths around Hemel Hempstead as well as the track, with groups for different speeds and ambitions. This section accepts runners from sixteen and offers a short trial before commitment. Cross-country brings the road and track sections together through the Chiltern League and junior competition. Prospective members should use the contact form and select the membership manager or head coach; junior entry arrangements depend on the squad. The club also supports volunteers who want to become coaches or officials.
