About Crystal Palace Fun Runners
Crystal Palace Fun Runners was founded in 1981 in south London, England. The club combines conversational group running with coached track and hill sessions, catering for run-walkers as well as experienced runners preparing for longer races.
Monday and Wednesday road groups meet on the gravel path beside Crystal Palace station. Routes generally cover around 10–12K, with shorter options and regrouping points. Monday coaching may use the National Sports Centre track, a local hill or Crystal Palace Park, so those sessions have their own published meeting instructions.
Prospective members are welcome to introduce themselves to a run leader and try a few outings before registering. The club also supports parkrun and London Marathon Events through volunteering. Its Dino Dash Relay raises money for St Christopher’s Hospice, and the club funds training for members who volunteer as run leaders or coaches.
