About Crossgates Harriers
Crossgates Harriers is a running club in east Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. Monday training develops speed, strength and endurance, while Wednesday social runs use several pace groups and staggered starts. The Springs shopping centre is a regular meeting point, with Temple Newsam running track used for summer Monday sessions.
The club led a volunteer effort to restore Temple Newsam’s track in summer 2023, working with St Theresa’s Athletic Club and other local helpers. Its first Track Restoration Fund 10K followed in September 2024, raising money for the shared facility. Food-bank collections, litter picks and other community projects also feature in club life.
New runners can contact the membership team through the public email or website form to find a suitable group. Couch to 5K and 5K-to-10K courses have advertised intakes; ask about the next start rather than treating an older course notice as an open invitation. Check the training page before travelling because locations and start times vary by session.
