About Cornwall Athletics Academy
Cornwall Athletics Academy runs its Saturday Athletics Club at Carn Brea Track in Pool, near Redruth, Cornwall, England. Children aged four to sixteen can try running, jumping and throwing, rotating between disciplines rather than specialising immediately.
The Mini Minors group caters for ages four to seven, while older children take part in the main coaching session. Friendly Five Star competitions give young athletes a first experience of putting their skills into practice. The academy describes a progression into Cornwall Athletic Club’s evening sessions as children develop.
Parents can stay, help alongside qualified coaches and volunteer at competitions. Contact the academy by email, telephone or its enquiry form to discuss a first session. Registration takes place at the trackside clubhouse; families driving to Carn Brea should follow the leisure centre’s parking-registration instructions.
