About Cornwall AC
Cornwall Athletic Club grew from the merger of Duchy of Cornwall AC and West Cornwall AC and is based at Carn Brea Leisure Centre in Pool, Redruth. Its programme covers track and field, road running, cross-country and junior sportshall, welcoming athletes from age nine. The club has helped develop international athletes, including pole vaulter Molly Caudery, who began trying different events at Carn Brea before specialising.
Coached sessions run throughout the year, and newcomers can ask the track and field or endurance team about a suitable group before arranging membership through Spond. England Athletics named Cornwall AC its Club of the Month in September 2026. That report also described the worn track and the work to secure funding for resurfacing; the club's training base should not be confused with a guarantee that licensed competitions can currently be held there.
