About Chiltern Harriers AC
Chiltern Harriers Athletic Club was formed in 1978 during the growth of recreational road running. It now draws athletes from Chesham, Amersham, the Chalfonts, Prestwood and Great Missenden in Buckinghamshire, England. Its programme follows the seasons, with winter cross-country, summer track and field, and road running throughout the year.
The club stages the Pednor 5, Shardeloes 10K and Pednor 10, giving local runners a choice of road and multi-terrain races. Senior Tuesday sessions move between locations around Chesham and Amersham, using trails in lighter months and illuminated roads in winter. Get Going Running offers a gentler route into the senior programme, while Sunday outings explore the Chiltern countryside.
Junior training is organised by coaching group and discipline rather than through one universal session. The junior page currently says its mixed-ability beginners’ group is closed indefinitely; parents should contact the appropriate coach about other groups and capacity.
