About Chichester Runners & AC
Chichester Runners & Athletics Club was founded in 1984 and now combines junior athletics with a broad adult running programme. Its West Sussex setting shapes much of that programme: summer trail runs, Sussex cross-country competition and training around Oaklands Park sit alongside track sessions. Couch to 5K helps new runners get started, while the club's social events give members reasons to meet away from racing.
The adult timetable includes daytime and evening groups, from a gentle foundation session to more demanding endurance work. Chichester Rugby Club is a regular base, with other sessions at Chichester College and the Phil Baker track; members book through Spond. Adults can arrange a try-out through the contact form. The club currently asks families interested in junior membership to enquire in March 2027 for the summer intake and says it does not keep a waiting list.
