About Cheadle RC
Cheadle Running Club meets in Cheadle, Staffordshire, England, rather than the town of the same name in Cheshire. South Moorlands Leisure Centre on Allen Street is its usual starting point. Members run on roads, over cross-country courses and on the fells, with some focused on competition and others mainly enjoying the fitness and social side.
The published club sessions are Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings, with groups arranged to suit different runners. Cheadle competes in the North Staffordshire Cross Country League and organises races including the Cheadle Spring 5 and Cheadle 4, alongside club handicaps. The Cheadle 4 also supports local charitable fundraising.
Membership is for runners over 16, and prospective members can arrange a month’s trial. The club does not advertise a dedicated beginners’ group, although it can discuss a shorter introductory run. Its contact form is the place to explain your experience and check the next suitable session.
