About Charnwood A C
Charnwood Athletic Club has been part of Loughborough’s sporting life since 1975. Based at the Paula Radcliffe Stadium at Loughborough University, the Leicestershire club offers coaching in sprints, hurdles, distance running, jumps and throws. Its programme takes athletes from introductory sessions into track and field, road and cross-country competition.
The club celebrated its fiftieth anniversary in 2025. Parents and volunteers help deliver training, officiate and support the open meetings, while age-group teams give members a route into league and championship athletics. Newcomers can request a free taster through the club website; the club confirms availability before attendance, and training sessions are booked separately from annual membership.
