About Chard RRC
Chard Road Runners has been part of running in Chard, Somerset, England, since 1981. The England Athletics-affiliated club meets at Chard Cricket Club, combining training and racing with a social programme that includes a monthly bake-off competition.
Tuesday and Thursday club nights start at 7pm. Tuesday usually offers several pace and distance groups, while Thursday is aimed at beginners, improvers and runners who prefer a shorter, slower outing. The last Tuesday of the month brings the club handicap run, followed by the bake-off; showers and the bar are available after Tuesday running.
Prospective members can use the club’s public enquiry email or contact form, then follow its Connect My Club joining instructions. Couch to 5K courses are also advertised separately. Ask about the next intake and the right group before attending, as older course announcements are not confirmation of a current place.
