About Cavan Triathlon Club
Cavan Triathlon Club is based in Cavan, Ireland, and appears in Triathlon Ireland’s club directory. Its published history of beginner activities shows a route into swimming, cycling and running for people who have not previously combined the three sports, as well as a club option for experienced triathletes.
In January 2018 the club held an open evening in Drumalee and launched a six-to-eight-week New to Tri programme. That course worked towards a short pool-based triathlon, combining guided training with an achievable first event. It is a documented example of the club’s development work, not an announcement that the same course is currently open.
Triathlon Ireland’s 2021 equipment-funding report also records an allocation for a pontoon, defibrillator and paddleboards. The governing body continues to publish the club’s enquiry email and Cavan location. Newcomers should contact the club for current training venues, beginner-course availability and age eligibility rather than rely on an older event notice.
