About Cannock & Stafford AC
Cannock & Stafford AC was formed through the 1986 merger of Cannock AC and Stafford Athletic Club. The Staffordshire club in England has a history across track and field and endurance running. Its honours list includes European indoor champions John Mayock and Jane Finch, Chicago Marathon winner Paul Davies-Hale and international steeplechaser Spencer Duval. These are historical club associations; an undated honours page is not evidence of present competitive membership or a current record.
The club's published 2026 membership information describes a development group for athletes from age ten to the end of school year nine, followed where possible by a move to an appropriate coach. Membership alone does not allow unsupervised use of the track during club sessions: athletes must be attached to the coaching arrangements. Prospective members should contact the membership secretary before attending. Rowley Park in Stafford is the directory-listed base, while the membership page provides the current joining route and explains individual consideration of financial hardship.
