About Brighton & Hove FrontRunners
Brighton & Hove Front Runners began in October 2018 after local interest grew through a Facebook group. Based in Brighton and Hove, England, it welcomes LGBTQ+ runners and allies and belongs to the wider international Front Runners network. It is a local club, rather than a worldwide virtual membership organisation.
Wednesday evening sessions meet on the green beside the King Alfred Leisure Centre car park in Hove. The programme includes intervals and timed out-and-back runs, allowing runners to return together, while Sunday outings use different locations. Social gatherings and parkrun participation are part of the club community.
The club has also organised Couch to 5K programmes, but these are distinct from its regular runs, whose published guidance assumes an existing running base. Prospective members should ask which session or beginner programme suits them.
